000 — Direktlink 23.12.2023, 15:05 Uhr Coyle I have decided to design a Vestas V100 wind turbine in 1/50 scale as there is a windfarm close to where i live with over 30 turbines. The tower height of the turbines is 80 meters and the length of the blades are 49 meters. In 1/50 scale terms the tower height would be 1.60 meters tall and the blades 98cm in length. The overall height of the turbine when errected will be 2.58 meters. Here are some of the images of the designed model. Printing of the model will begin in the new year. The lifting eyes might need to be altered slightly when it comes to testing the Yoke under load. Currently no as i just have enough space for 1 turbine. The left nacelle was the first design, made a couple of alterations made the 2nd, more alterations and the right nacelle is the final design. 014 — Direktlink 23.02.2024, 12:32 Uhr Coyle Liebherr LTM 1500 lifting the Nacelle and Hub Shackles that connect the ropes to the lifting yoke are 3d printed and surprisingly strong. Nacelle has been suspended from the crane for the day while I was at work. Weight of the Nacelle and Hub is 335 grams. The Blade Lifting Yoke has now been designed so its off to the printer to see if it can hold the weight of the 98cm blade. The Blade yoke was modeled of the Airpes SGRE-145 Blade Yoke. Here is the finished model of our 1:50 scale wind turbine. Standing at 160cm tall and a rotor diameter of 2 meters shes pretty spectacular in person!! The model consists of: 3x98cm blades Nacelle Hub 3 Tower sections (36cm & 2x60cm) Base. Let us know what you think and if you have any questions on the model ????
