Hi

When a telescopic mobile crane fitted with a superlifter is using the superlifter,is there a limit to the height that the jib can be raised? I was setting up my Kibri LTM1400 earlier and I could not extend the main jib fully with the superlift in place,as the superlift cable drum had run out.(I had installed the correct length of cable as per the instructions!) So is this prototypical or is it purely a model thing?

hi,

I'm not sure, but I think that this is mainly a model problem.
in reality the superlifter should have it's biggest advantages especially at big jib-lengths - or am I wrong ?

when building a kibri-Model i generally don't take the lengths out of the manual, but install as much cable as possible on each winch.

Recently building the AK 850 with maxilift equipment i replaced the small second winch with the big one which comes with the kit, but isn't normally used. so it is possible to lay down the main boom (in maximum length) on the ground just by using this winch (i think there are about 10-12 m of cable necessary)
