after 1 year working in this proyect I finish the tunneboring machine Herrenknecht double shield wish worked in the biggest tunnel in Madrid in M-30 proyect. The load out are made by Aguado with Manitowoc 18000 and Ac700. I wait till the model will appear by THW and I tried to prepare all the trailers and trucks who are involved in this very big-big proyect. You can see in internet in other webistes and even Manitowoc magazine and website make a job report from this big job. I try to make in 1:50 the same with "gromet´s people trucks and many details you can apreciate. The TBM shield are made by me in lasercut and many pieces fixed over. The colour is the original colour when was introduced. The model I made for asamblage as the real machine cutting head parts in 1:50. I make a photo without the interior shield but the Manitowoc could load out with this too. I keep to made it more spectacular.
I hope all the people enyoy this evening seen this photos, many work are beside.
Best regards till the modelshow
Alberto Quijano

Great work, Alberto. Especially the model of the shield is looking great. How long did you have to work on that model. Is it made from plastics or metal?

thanks Pat, your models are incredible too.
Hu: I take a year since the beginning but I usually do many models at the same time. The model was designed by computer and cutted by laser in "metacrilato" like plastic very strong.
Michael: the original weights 350 tons, I have a kibri LR1550 and I think its ok with all the configuration, I´ll put a photo in 1:87 board soon.

You can see a video in: www.manitowoccranegroup.com

Alberto really a nice work, but please allow me to tell you something:
considering i was working for a trailer manufacturerer i think that the goldhofer, which you loaded with the central part of the shield, will be damaged, because the central part is sitting on the four big pins but they are positioned exactly were the plattform can not take that weight.
The storngest point on the platform is the mainbeam in the center or the two longitudinal bemas were the axles are mounted. all other parts of the platform are just cover and not designed for receiving load.
i know thats peanuts and again i do not want to lower the quality of your work.
este es solo para tu entiendes un ratico mas.

saludos desde venezuela
