000 — Direktlink 19.04.2004, 17:44 Uhr Ed Hi Last Sunday McNally cranes 3 month old Liebherr LTM1500 was deliberatly set on fire(not an accident).The scum who did broke into the yard and set the 2 cabs on fire and ignored the other cranes/trucks that were there.They also sent fake calls to the firebrigade (Feuerwehr) so that the fire had time to burn. The damage is mainly to the cabs but there is smoke damage and the tyres are melted.The crane had the 84m boom in place at the time and this has suffered heat damage.The crane will have to be returned to Ehingen for repair and inspection.The plan is to replace the drivers cab here in Ireland and then drive it to Germany.The boom will be removed and brought separatley by truck.Something to watch out for! Christian You are right Christian it is 1 of McNallys many rivals,who did this but it is still unknown exactly who it was.It will be interesting if they are ever caught.A few threats were made to McNallys before.
