Hello! I have now started to design my completely own crane in Google Sketchup. It will be a crane of ca 2500t and will be based on Terex-Demag design. Right now I have just finished the crawler frame I think.

Update: I just finished most of the ring that will hold most of the load while the crane is lifting, just like CC 8800 twin and Manitowoc 31000. The ring itself is also cut in two parts for transportation.

I have been working on it for three weeks now

Edit: Also news about the boom. The boom will be a twin boom (for transportation...) of 4,5x8m big parts, so when the boom is completely rigged it will be 10x8m (there will be some 1m wide parts on the boom for holding the two booms together) like in the pic below.

A little update. Probably not the most transport friendly crane ever, but I design it just for fun anyway The counterweight baseplate is just temporary

Edit: I have changed my thoughts, it will probably be a 4000-5000t crane ( I said only 2500t in the first post)
