Hi

Is the Mercedes 2648 the replacement for the 2644? Also does anyone have any photos of behind the cab of the 2648 or know of a website where I can find them?

Thanks

Ed

Hi Ed

The 2648 replaces the 2644 after the Facelift in 1988.
and the 2648 was replaced by the 2650 in 1990/91.

You can look to:

Hello!

This is not an answer to your question (unfortunately), but I'd like to know where and when these pictures were taken.
Seems to haven been quite a job, since a can see Riga's Spacelifter in the background...

Regards,

Sebastian, practicing english...

Hello Sebastian, hello Ed,

this was the first job for the AMK 1000 in the Breuer fleet. The pics were taken by me in april or may 1994 in D-Andernach near Koblenz at the yard of Rasselstein company.
The Spacelifter and the AMK 1000 has lifted a steelconstruction (in three or four pieces) onto a roof in the steel-factory.
Only the mainboom was in white, the three telescopic sections were still painted in old Riga design with "RIGA MAINZ" letters!!!!!
But i don't have photos of it:-(

Best regards

Hi Ed,

it is not a fueltank!!!!!!!!!!
It is a box for tools, ropes, shakles and other fixing material for the loading! Left and right is a door, and on the upperside a flap.
I don't have more pics of it:-(

Hat den niemand für Ed mal ein paar Detailfotos der Staukisten auf den alten Breuer 3ax-Zugmaschinen?
Oder Maße?

Gruß

Thanks BUZ

Where would we Gottwald fans be without you? I am at a disadvantage here as no Irish cranehire/heavyhaulage firms have heavy Mercedes trucks in their fleets I will be starting the model soon (when I receive the kit)
