They really look beautiful - too bad that Universal Hobbies decided to make two seperate models out of this instead of packing both booms into one box. (Like Conrad did with their Liebherr R954 BV.)

I agree.
You can unscrew the hrd and extension and switch booms.They are fragile though.
They are not heavy and dont feel solid. The bucket and shears are plastic. The booms will be good for custom work.

do you have the Liebherr 954C by Conrad? If so, can you please compare the bucket of the 954C with the bucket of the PC 450?
I think that the bucket of the PC 450 is too small, and maybe the one of the 954C is the right size.

I have the 954,The bucket on the 450 is too small.They are both being broken for parts as they are not strong.I want to put the booms on the Ertl Hitachi 450.

The 450 looks good on the WSI DAF/Nooteboom!

Looks like the booms are held together by screws??

Erik,
The booms and hydraulics are held by screws.This means it is very easy to change booms for a different carrier.These are poor carriers,for instance,the slew ring has a weak connection,and the tilting cab does not stay in position.

thank you for your answer. I don't undertsand if you can or not take a photo of the 954 bucket near the Komatsu boom, just to see if the dimension of the Liebherr bucket are correct for the Komatsu...

The 954 bucket does fit.There is a gap on the main boom attachment.

As Sebastian said, the bucket of 954C is larger than this. I'd like to put the 945C's bucket to the Komatsu... I will decide what to do when I will have the model at home.

If it will be possible, I'll try to reproduce the Liebherr 954C bucket in resin.
