Hello,
does anybody know something about the projected Spierings crawler mobile tower crane? Some months or around a year ago, some CAD-photos were shown on the Spierings internet side (Old internet pages). Also from time to time, there are some reports in the magazine "International Cranes" or "Cranes Today" about the project, but it seems not realised yet.
The pictures show a large crawler chassis with H-type outriggers and a standard Spierings upper. The vertical outrigger jacks are so long, that they can lift the entire crane as high as a semitrailer can be manoeuvered beneath for transport loading.
The size of the crane could have been in the region of the SK 1265-AT6.
From the design concept, it looks quiet interesting, because it seems to be possible, that the crane can travel on its crawlers with raised tower and jib and under load. Also it can be transported in one load without removal of jibsections or counterweight (Here the transport height on standard lowlevel semitrailers may be an issue).
If someone can post pictures here in the forum, all will appreciate them.
