I note this machine has had a £3 million facelift.
Has it been upgrded in its capacity and lengths of boom and luffer?
Or was it just an extremely thorough check of the stucture?

Rebuilt from the ground up,every nut and bolt checked.The most noticeable change is the the Demag AC cabs.But I would say any rusty metal,hydraulic pipes etc were replaced also.Its basically brand new now!

These pictures were taken in the summer of 2004 at Ferrybridge, UK. I do not know the details of the lift because security was not the friendliest!

I Know what you mean, i get dodgy looks for just watching let alone taking pictures,

Da gibt es noch viel abenteuerlichere Varianten. Hier wird wenigstens nicht die Aufhängung behindert. Aber es scheint duchaus üblich auf dem Schwebebalast so ziemlich alles irgendwie zu stapeln solange es schwer ist.
Und das Thema Ladungssicherung gilt dabei nicht wirklich

For sale...this is very sad but they still own two TC 3200's and ALE have a AK912 and MK1500....

I see in another thread this machine is for sale. When was that? I am surprised as I know the machine works hard for Sarens and must make a little money per year.....
The pictures linked to that must show the last time the luffer was used accordng to the crew.

So does this suggest Sarens have something coming to the UK to replace the AK680? Something new (any suggestions - standard model or a special) or something transferred from elswhere within Sarens)? |

Not the AK 680-3 is for sale. The AK 680-4 !!! is for sale.

at the moment the crane is located in Thailand. Sorry, I don´t know why Sarens will be sale the crane.

Sind euch schon die zwei Typen auf dem letzten Bild aufgefallen welche als Trittbrettfahrer mit fahren? haben die ne bestimmte Funktion z.B. nachlenken? Wenn das die BG Sieht gibt es garantiert Ärger

......ja wenn die Lenkung auf Durchlauf geschalten ist kann man von hinten lenken.Auf guten Bundesstrassen oder auf der Autobahn braucht man es aber nicht.Auf Kurfenreichen Strecken ist es sicher besser von hinten zu lenken.Bin selber auch oft hinten auf diesem Podest gesessen.Das gefährliche an diesem Kran ist aber eigentlich nicht das Hinterteil sondern vorne der A-Bock der bei Kurfenfahrt auch sehr ausschwenkt.
