Hello Kim,

thank your for your interesting towercrane photos.
The selferector in your posting No. 402 from today has some similarities with a Peiner SMK crane based on the old Wetzel-design. But the reeving between the jib backend and the towerhead looks not familiar to my. Maybe some other forum-collegues can recognized the crane more precise.

Starting in 2026.
I see this project in Bangkok city.
The Japanese company build ( The name Takanaka (Thai-Takanaka).)
The have 4 Tower crane in this project.
(Under crane rental.' AKTIO" (Japanese entail matchine company in Thailand.)

I love the Japanese style. They re manage " Construction Area " so clean..

Hello Kim,

thank you for these photos with some details of chinese SCM/SYM rope luffer. The design solution with the concrete ballast block hanging on the underside of the counterjib is unusual from todays perspective, as it is complicated to install it there.

@ all: Anyone here, who can say something about the design era/age of this crane?

Yes. I saw some Chinese crane don't have couther weight too.(Like the weight is I-beam counter jib.)
The counter weight put under counter jib.
I think they have inspiration from the early 80.
like Potain 646,744
(Same the tower section.. same potain e 2 - H40
in the past...
now I can see the new crane from China. almost 100%
use" L " mast tower section..
